Proceso de envío y revisión

Cada artículo enviado será sometido a un riguroso proceso de revisión por pares doble ciego, en el que se evaluarán su originalidad, rigor metodológico, precisión técnica, relevancia con los temas de la conferencia y claridad expositiva.

Required format: Only submissions in PDF format are accepted.

Submission: Send your proposal in PDF format to the conference email ticec@cedia.org.ec with the subject CALL FOR WORKSHOPS.

Workshop proposals must be prepared in a document of up to 4 pages (including references) and emailed to ticec@cedia.org.ec before June 28, as a single PDF file. The document must include the following components:

Title and short abstract (approximately 100 words).

Background: Provide a solid justification for holding the workshop, describe the topics to be addressed, and set specific objectives.

Organizers: Present the organizers’ profile, including a short bio and contact information for the primary responsible organizer.

Pre-workshop plans: Describe outreach and community-building strategies (for example, through a website or other communication channels with participants).

Workshop structure: Explain the workshop structure in detail, including planned activities, their duration, agenda, schedule, and required resources.

Post-workshop plans: Indicate how follow-up will be conducted and what tangible outputs are expected (for example, poster presentations, publication of workshop proceedings, preparation of a special journal issue).

Call for participation: Include at the end of the extended abstract a text of up to 250 words that will be published on the conference website to recruit participants. It must include:

    • The workshop format and objectives.
    • Participant selection criteria.
    • Requirements for position papers (for example, suggested topics, length, format).
    • Submission address for the papers.
    • A requirement that at least one author per accepted paper must attend the workshop and that all participants must be registered for both the workshop and the main conference.
    • If accepted, the final extended abstract must include a link to the workshop website.

As part of the submission process, the following information must also be provided to help the organizing committee understand the logistical needs of the proposed workshop:

Workshop duration: Indicate whether it will be half-day or full-day.

Audience size: Specify the ideal number of attendees. If you believe it should be limited to achieve better outcomes, please justify it. The minimum number of participants is 15 (not including the organizers).

Workshop history: If this workshop has been organized before, indicate where it took place, the evaluation received from attendees, and how it will differ or improve in this edition.

Student volunteering: Indicate whether student volunteer support is required and justify the need.

Audiovisual requirements: TICEC can generally provide a projector, screen, computer audio, and a podium.

Promotion strategy: Briefly describe the dissemination strategy that will be used to attract participants to the workshop.

 

Each proposal will be evaluated by at least three regular members of the Program Committee or two senior members of the Steering Committee. Proposals will be assessed according to the following criteria:

Originality: Is the workshop related to the conference topics and does it contribute new and relevant ideas for attendees?

Interaction: Does the workshop agenda include a set of engaging activities for participants?

Significance: Is the call for papers relevant both to the workshop and to the conference’s general track?

Quality: Does the workshop organizing team have a relevant presence in the field of study?

Clarity: Does the proposal include realistic activities and objectives?

Relevance: Does it directly address one or more of the conference topics?

Commitment: The workshop organizing team commits to delivering the workshop as part of TICEC 2026.

Authorship: The workshop must use the same graphic design for promotion and calls as the rest of the conference.

Registration policy: Conference registration includes participation in the workshops.
